Who will visit us? Round 3!

altWe have already presented one men’s team, so it’s high time to get to know something about the representatives of “more beautiful sex”, from Poland. Ladies and gentlemen, BHT Pyrki Poznan, last year’s participant on Ivanić Grad Open, EBT Finals in Greece and the most successful beach handball women’s club in Poland. Let’s read few words about girls, why they’re coming back to Croatia and what are their plans for 2017 season:

Tell us few words about the club, it’s history, achievements etc.

BHT Pyrki Poznan is the club founded in 2006 and since then, even though it changed the name and players, it is still the most titled women’s club in Poland. Our last big achievements are silver medal on Polish Championships in 2015 and participation in EBT Finals in Greece 2016.

What was the reason to take part in Jarun Cup 2017?

We had very good time last year in Croatia, so we already then knew that we want to participate in Jarun Cup 2017 – come back to the host of this year’s European Championships. This year we have a lot of new players so we want to start the season with good tournament. In Poland the whole season starts around half of May. The reasons to come back to Croatia were great atmosphere and the will to visit this beautiful European city.

As you’ve already mentioned this is not your first time in Croatia. Last year you took part in Ivanić Grad Open and took 3rd place. How was the whole tournament?

We have very good memories – from one side we were thrilled with the atmosphere, and from the other hand we achieved great result – we went to Zagreb without a few very important players. The tournament itself gave us a lot of self-confidence so this year we hope for even better atmosphere in the team – we want to start new history of the club.

What are your expectation towards this year’s Jarun Cup?

We want to start the season well and show new players the best possible beach handball. Our new teammates will have an opportunity to feel the emotions that are natural part of big tournaments, but in the same time they will have very difficult task to fight with very experienced teams. If we achieve good result we will be very happy but the most important for us is to build good relationships and atmosphere within the team.

What are your plans for the 2017 season?

We want to have fun playing beach handball, build new team that will be Polish Champion and to show the beauty of this sport in every single match.
