As part of the closing ceremony for the Jarun Cup 2025, a special award was presented to a special player who has been linked to the Jarun Cup for many editions.
Former Dutch international Danielle Rozing has dedicated her entire sporting career to promoting the beautiful and dynamic sport of beach handball and on Sunday night she played her final game for her club side, Westsite Amsterdam, winners of the 2024 Jarun Cup.
The 37-year-old won bronze with the Netherlands’ national team at the 2019 European Beach Handball Championship in addition to taking multiple Dutch national championships.
In addition to her work on court, Rozing was also the team manager for Westsite and is also a coach back home.
Everyone at the Jarun Cup wishes Rozing the best of luck with her next steps and looks forward to seeing her again somewhere on the sand in the future.
