Senior

The tournament is played across four groups (A, B, C, D), each containing seven teams competing in a single round-robin. After the group stage, teams advance to the knockout and placement rounds based on their finishing position.

Group stage advancement

Teams finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each group advance directly to the Round of 16 — twelve teams in total. Teams finishing 4th and 5th enter a play-off round, while teams finishing 6th and 7th are eliminated.

Play-off round (for places 17–20 and Round of 16 entry)

The eight teams finishing 4th and 5th play a cross-group play-off using a circular rotation: each group’s 4th-place team plays the 5th-place team from the next group (A4 vs B5, B4 vs C5, C4 vs D5, D4 vs A5). The four winners enter the Round of 16; the four losers compete for places 17–20.

Round of 16

The sixteen teams are seeded using a serpentine system: group winners are seeds 1–4, runners-up seeds 5–8, third-placed teams seeds 9–12, and play-off winners seeds 13–16. Group protection is applied — no team can meet another team from the same group before the final. Play-off winners are assigned to face a group winner from a different group than the one they came from.

Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final

Standard single-elimination. The bracket is fixed – winners of adjacent Round of 16 matches meet in the quarterfinals, quarterfinal winners meet in the semifinals, and the two semifinal winners contest the final. Losers play playoffs.

Places 9–16 (consolation bracket)

The eight Round of 16 losers enter a consolation bracket. Pairs are formed by adjacent bracket positions. Winners of these consolation quarterfinals play for places 9–12; losers play for places 13–16. Within each group, the two winners play each other (the winner takes the higher place), as do the two losers.

Places 17–20

The four play-off losers play cross-matches among themselves. Winners play for 17th place; losers play for 19th place.

Places 21–24

Teams finishing 6th in each group are paired (6A vs 6B, 6C vs 6D). Winners play for 21st place; losers play for 23rd place.

Places 25–28

Teams finishing 7th in each group are paired (7A vs 7B, 7C vs 7D). Winners play for 25th place; losers play for 227th place.

The Veteran category features 4 teams competing in a single round-robin group stage. Following the group stage, the 1st-placed team plays the 4th and the 2nd plays the 3rd in the semifinals. The semifinal winners then meet in the final, while the two losers compete for 3rd place.
